SecurityGuard is patented by Phenomenex. U.S. Patent No. 6,162,632
Sugars are critical components/ingredients in many food and beverage products. Monitoring their presence and quantity is crucial for both label claim verification as well as quality in manufacturing. Developed below is a method for 15 sugars with great separation between various monosaccharides, disaccharides, and oligosaccharides.
Newest Applications for Cannabis Testing: Potency, Pesticides, Mycotoxins, Terpenes, Residual Solvents and More.
A fast and effective HPLC method was developed to separate the enantiomers of Kavain using a Lux i-Amylose-1 chiral column.
A simple and robust method was developed for the separation between each Lorazepam enantiomer using a Lux i-Amylose-1 chiral column.
In this technical note, we report the chiral separation of racemic Naproxen using the immobilized polysaccharide-based chiral stationary phase Lux i-Amylose-1. Under optimal conditions, the racemic Naproxen was efficiently separated with a resolution factor of 2.33 and a separation factor (alpha) of 1.16. This method can be used for the enantiomeric separation and purity assessment of S-Naproxen, the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API).
Here we present a fast, robust, and versatile separation of Hexobarbital enantiomers on the robust Lux i-Amylose-1 stationary phase via SFC.
A simple and robust SFC method was developed for the identification of each Metalaxyl stereoisomer using a Lux i-Amylose-1 chiral column.
A fast and effective SFC method was developed to separate the enantiomers of Warfarin using a Lux i-Amylose-1 chiral column.

Effective separation of closely related analytes of interest can be a difficult task to achieve. This guides provides helpful strategies for effective HPLC/UHPLC column selection.
See how easy it is to extend your analytical and preparative HPLC/ SFC column lifetimes
Specifically designed for successful and reproducible method development and transfer. Comparison of achiral stationary phases based on material characteristics and the hydrophobic subtraction model.
Excellent separation of acidic and basic variants from the neutral trastuzumab with the use of the bioZen WCX ion-exchange column under both pH and salt gradients.
Kinetex Core-Shell Technology and Luna Omega Thermally Modified Particle Technology are the perfect combination to upgrade and boost performance for UHPLC, HPLC, and Preparative HPLC methods.
Kinetex Core-Shell Technology: • Obtain higher throughput without sacrificing resolution • Easy method transfer across LC system platforms • Reduce solvent consumption with faster analysis • Reach lower levels of detection and quantitation
The new Luna Omega SUGAR breaks ground as it combines the performance benefits of thermally modified fully porous particles with a novel HILIC stationary phase that excels at polar compound retention and selectivity. Improved carbohydrate retention and separation with novel HILIC selectivity. Enhanced lifetime with highly robust and efficient thermally modified fully porous particle. QC tested for sugars to ensure reliable quality.
Rapid and accurate chiral separation of amphetamine and substituted amphetamine enantiomers
Incredibly robust immobilized chiral columns with brilliant separation power. Lux i-Amylose-1 and i-Cellulose-5 contain a chemical crosslinking between the polysaccharide and silica supports which in turn provides incredible strong solvent (THF, DCM, DMSO, MtBE, Ethyl Acetate, etc.) robustness compared to coated phases and prevents the phase from being dissolved in strong solvents.
Improve your formulations assays today by achieving resolution, ruggedness, and reproducibility.
In this technical note, we present various SFC screening approaches for the chiral separation of a 56-pharmaceutical compound test set using Lux polysaccharide-based chiral stationary phases. The new Lux Amylose-1 provides the largest number of baseline separations. Additional generic chiral separation strategies for SFC are highlighted for increasing success rates.

Berry fruits including Goji berry and Zante currant have increased in popularity due to their rich content of macronutrients, other phytochemicals, as well as sugars. Sugars have a major effect on the flavor of these berries as well as nutritional acceptance. Developed below, using the Luna Omega 3 μm SUGAR LC column is the separation of simple sugars from Goji berries and Zante currants. Excellent separation of glucose and fructose is provided leading to accurate quantitation for effective monitoring of sugar content as well as flavor profiles.
Simple sugars are the smallest and simplest carbohydrates found in many food products, especially soft drinks. Sugar analysis is critical to food quality as well as labeling requirements for nutritional content. Developed below, using the Luna Omega 3 μm SUGAR LC column, is the separation of simple sugars from various cola products, producing excellent separation of glucose and fructose
Sugar analysis, especially for glucose and fructose, is an effective and important step for wine makers to manage the fermentation process in wine production. Full resolution between fructose and glucose can ensure accurate results. Developed below, using the Luna Omega 3 μm SUGAR LC column, is the separation of simple sugars from red, white and dessert wine, producing excellent separation of glucose and fructose leading to more accurate quantitation for effective fermentation monitoring.
Evaluating the sugar content of animal feed is important for providing proper nutrition and strong animal performance. Using the Luna Omega SUGAR column, the six sugars were fully resolved with better than baseline resolution. The gradient method also resolved an interference peak near fructose on the horse feed sample.
Sugar content testing is a commonly performed analysis in food laboratories. Determining sugar content is particularly important for milk where lactose is the main sugar present. While lactose is a significant energy source in milk, individuals who are lactose-intolerant have a lactase enzyme deficiency and cannot fully digest lactose. Using the Luna Omega SUGAR column, six sugars and one sugar alcohol were separated in ten minutes. Using the Luna Omega SUGAR column, we were able to analyze sugars in a variety of cow’s milk, lactose free milk, and infant formula.
