Matt Boag
Global Biopharmaceutical Marketing Manager
Matt Boag is the Global Biopharmaceutical Marketing Manager at Phenomenex, where he leads strategic marketing and product initiatives that empower scientists in the development and characterization of biotherapeutics. With over a decade of experience in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries, Matt brings deep expertise in regulatory compliance, analytical chemistry, and process development. He holds a BSc in Biochemistry/Biotechnology and an MSc in Chemistry, combining scientific rigor with commercial insight to drive innovation and customer success.
Laura Ward
Technical Specialist, Phenomenex
Laura Ward is a Technical Specialist for the Asia-Pacific region with Phenomenex, located in New Zealand. She completed an Honours thesis in Geochemistry at the University of Sydney, Australia where she discovered a love for Analytical Chemistry. She joined Phenomenex Australia as a Technical Sales Consultant and after 5 years moved to New Zealand to join the Technical Team, supporting scientists globally with method development, troubleshooting, and application support. Her interests include Green Chemistry, sustainable solutions, outdoor activities, and cheesemaking.
Grace Guo
Senior Technical Specialist, Phenomenex
Grace Guo graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Master’s in Material Science and Engineering. She joined Phenomenex Technical Team in 2017 providing global technical support. With over 9 years of experience in SPE, HPLC, and GC, she has delivered 80+ seminars and webinars worldwide, covering industries such as food and environmental, clinical, pharma, and biopharma.
Zachary Woodward
Senior Technical Specialist, Phenomenex
Zachary Woodward assists laboratories with method development in bio-pharma, environmental, and food industries. He developed HPLC and GC methods in a pharmaceutical lab in Albany, NY and in a clinical setting in Southern California. Zachary holds a B.Sci. in Chemistry from the College of William and Mary and a Master’s in Chemistry from San Diego State University.
Duilio Romanello
Senior Technical Specialist
Duilio Romanello earned his BSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology from the University of Bologna. He joined Phenomenex in 2008 as an Inside Technical Sales Consultant, later leading GC/SPE and Env/Food teams in Italy. Since 2016, he has been Account Manager for Southern Italy and GC Specialist. In 2023, he became Senior Technical Specialist for Phenomenex’s Technical team.
Namrata Saxena
Technical Manager
Namrata Saxena is the Technical Manager for Asia-Pacific at Phenomenex, assisting customers and internal teams with technical queries and supporting the company’s bio-products portfolio. She specializes in chromatographic solutions for biotherapeutics and CGT modalities. She has previous experience in stationary phase chemistry and method development at Bischoff Chromatography GmbH and holds a postgraduate degree in Analytical Chemistry.
Koen Askamp
Technical Specialist, Phenomenex
Koen Askamp earned his BSc and MSc in Molecular Life Sciences at Wageningen University, Netherlands. He joined Phenomenex in 2020 as a Technical Sales Consultant and in 2022 became part of the global technical support team, assisting laboratories with training and method development.
Lucia Geis Asteggiante
Senior Technical Specialist
Lucia Geis Asteggiante has extensive experience in Analytical Chemistry, specializing in LC-MS. She has worked on projects from small molecules to large protein complexes, holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, and conducted post-doctoral research at the University of Oxford. She has authored/co-authored 23 scientific publications and 2 book chapters.
Kevin Zhao
Senior Technical Specialist
Kevin Zhao has over 9 years at Phenomenex and experience in biochemistry research, protein and cancer research, and chromatography applications. He holds a B.S. in Biology, an M.S. in Biochemistry, and an MBA. Kevin provides technical support and training globally in chromatography and sample preparation across multiple industries.
