Phenomenex Honored by Red Cross for Commitment to Local Blood Supply

Torrance, CA (April 24, 2008) – Phenomenex Inc., a global leader in the manufacture of separation science consumables, was honored at the American Red Cross’ annual Awards Ceremony in Los Angeles. Phenomenex was presented with the Platinum Special Recognition Award, recognizing the company as a leader among the hundreds of companies that work with the Southern California Chapter of the American Red Cross.

The honor, the Red Cross’ highest award, recognizes organizations for long-standing support of the Red Cross and year-over-year excellence in blood donation levels. In 2007, Phenomenex increased the number of employee donations by 91%. In addition to the semi-annual drives, last year Phenomenex hosted two emergency blood drives during periods of low blood supply, at the request of the President of the Southern California Chapter of the American Red Cross.
