Phenomenex and FMSC Generate 135,000 Meals for Needy Children

Partnering Event Exceeds Meal and Volunteer Goals By 35%

Torrance, CA (July 22, 2010) – Phenomenex, a global leader in the research and manufacture of separation science consumables, announced today that more than 135,000 meals will be made available to feed needy children around the world as a result of their partnering event with Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), held on July 16 and 17 at Phenomenex global headquarters in Torrance, California.

Nearly 700 employees, friends, family and community members came to pack meals. Phenomenex supported all employees not only to organize this major event but to volunteer to pack meals during their regular work hours. The volunteer response and number of meals packed exceeded initial goals by over 35%. In addition to sponsoring the event and providing facilities and refreshments, Phenomenex donated more than $21,000 to provide the ingredients for the meals.
