Ph. Eur. Monograph 1573: Sumatriptan Succinate Assay and Related Substances on SphereClone5 µm ODS(1) Column
In this application note we show the separation of Sumatriptan Succinate from its related substances following Ph. Eur. Monograph 1573. We used a SphereClone 5 µm ODS(1) column. To meet system suitability requirements for Assay analysis, the percent RSD (%RSD) must be a maximum of 0.73 % for Sumatriptan Succinate. To meet system suitability requirements for Related Substances analysis, the resolution must be a minimum of 1.5 between the peaks for Impurity C and Sumatriptan Succinate. The SphereClone ODS(1) column met system suitability requirements for both Assay and Related Substances analysis.
