Catechins and Phenolic Acids Using a Kinetex F5 Core-Shell LC Column
The polyphenol profile of a red wine is very important as it provides information not only about how a wine will taste but also about both the variety of wine as well as the geographical location that the wine was produced from. Additionally, polyphenol screens are becoming more common as they’re a significant tool for antioxidant research, vineyard quality control, and fraudulent investigation. For these reasons, there is great interest in the accurate quantification of polyphenolic wine-constituents. As shown below, the Kinetex 2.6 µm F5 column provides excellent polyphenol selectivity for this HPLC assay using UV detection; resulting in a fast and well-resolved quantitative assay.
